  • pterry, the pterodactyl

    []
thanks to a certain ex-high school sweetheart, my favorite stuffed animal as a child — pterry, the pterodactyl — has come home to roost. he’s already done a stint hanging above sparklet’s bed, only to be moved a couple of months later, to the mighty quinn’s room, when sparklet started having nightmares about the monster hanging over her bed. oops.

our washer flooded a couple of times over christmas, and the timer on the dryer no longer advances (meaning that we can run the dryer for 8+ hours non-stop if we’re not smart enough to shut it off manually).

so mommy get’s her christmas wish after all — new, bigger, washer and dryer.

after a weekend of photo selection (and printing via mpix) we now have honest-to-God family photos hanging on the wall.

  • christmas miracle

    []
on christmas night, with 10 people and 2 dogs in the house, our washing machine flooded the basement and our main floor toilet stopped flushing. but when we woke up the next morning, there was a plumber parked out front of our house to service one of our neighbors. it’s a christmas miracle…
