after being missing and presumed dead for the last week, el pato seems to have dragged himself all the way from costa rica to an amazon.com distribution center in campbellsville, kentucky where he (rather intelligently if you ask me) UPS’ed himself the rest of the way to D.C.

amazing.

he also appears to have brought his girlfriend along with him — her name is Tica, which also happens to be the friendly, national diminutive for Costa Rican females.

… which, i guess, explains what he was doing for the last week.

i love my co-workers.

my team is the only group on our floor that’s decorated their cubes this year — and once again we’ve totally out done ourselves. the theme this year was “white trash” and i think i can safely say that ~~we knocked it out of the park~~ we’re just plain awesome.

i’m not necessarily looking for sympathy, having just gotten back from 10 days in costa rica. that said, i feel obligated to point out that less than 36 hours ago we were in flip flops and bathing suits in 89 degree weather. right now, it’s snowing and 26 degrees. oy.

If there was one feature of the resort that sparklet loved above all others, it was the golf carts that they sped you from place to place in.

Being simple city folk, we didn’t use them much at all — but when we did, she was giggling like a schoolgirl with the wind blowing through be hair.

I finally got around to taking pictures of the resort on the morning we left, which just happened to be the only overcast day during our stay at the beach.

There are days where the photos look better than the reality, and days where reality looks better than the photos. This was definitely a case of the latter.
