well, auntie jojo picked a heck of a weekend to come visit. sparklet got sick on Friday — a pretty standard ear/nose/throat thing — and i picked it up like clockwork on Sunday night. (it’s Tuesday, and i still haven’t been to work this week.)

thank God she was family, and not somebody that we were trying to impress.
“mommy — this would go better if my shoes weren’t on backwards.”
