There was a big event downtown all weekend, centered on the new WWII Memorial. Over the past month there has been two interesting articles in the Post on the Memorial, one on its appropriateness and the other on how WWII is being taught in schools.
One has to admire the service of our veterans, but you also have to wonder about how much this country reveres all things war…
Redesigned and broke out the front page. Added flash navigation, and a really big honkin’ vanity picture. By the best of my limited counting skills, I think this is version 6 of the site.
Last three designs (v3, v4 and v5 respectively) are here:
Best as I can recollect, v1 had a similar (tho less polished) tabbed file theme as v3, and v2 was black/yellow with some kind of map of russia with photos inlaid.
Actually, it turns out that had known each other since 2002. She was the press person for Campaign for America’s Future, and I was her web contact at the Carol | Trevelyan Strategy Group. We never actually met in person, but we worked together via phone and email on and off for over two years.
The funny things is I just assumed that she was 45, married, with at least two or three children. Turns out that wasn’t actually the case.
