tree
looks like the ginormous tree in our neighbors front yard is going to be coming down — hopefully in a planned sort of way, but we’re not really sure. this week, two tree experts came by and both said that it had less than two years to live, give or take, and it’d be better to pull it down than to let gravity and old age do the work for us.it’d be a shame if it weren’t so obviously dying. when it comes down, it’ll be the 5th tree we (or our direct neighbors) have lost in the last three years…

the best bits were her reviews in the class room. lots of words like “loving” and “maternal” and they said she has a really good heart. which makes us happy. you can teach classroom skills and classroom manners, but harder to teach kids to be good human beings.
